Any more updates on the Mora machine?
Teness,
Nope, despite that this post is now the 3rd google result for ‘mora machine,’ no proponents have stepped up to provide any reasonable evidence that it works as claimed. My 1 year offer on the muscle testing test kit (also the third google result for ‘muscle testing kit’) is almost expired, and no practitioners are interested in passing a simple test. Not even the “muscletestingdoctor dotcom” guy who will take thousands of dollars to teach you, but wouldn’t even respond when I offered to go to his office with $500 cash to do a 15 minute double-blind test of the basic claim… The Washington State Attorney General went after some practitioners using electrodermal diagnostic machines like the MORA as fraud, and won. Last week I had a friendly fellow e-mail me saying that I could either go the spiritual route or the scientific route, and he recommended the spiritual route. Apparently writing from a perspective of consumer protection, warning of health frauds (with no financial incentive), and asking basic questions such as “does this work?” or “what are you basing your claims on?” doesn’t qualify as “spiritual” and makes me a “traitor” to the natural/alternative medicine world. Oh well… My clinic is busy and sales are strong. I’m contemplating changes for 2013 and trying to carve out more time to write. However, I’m not sure that I’ll be writing as much about this sort of issue. I’m ready for some new, fun projects.
Thanks for asking!
Kevin
Hi Kevin, As a long time student of dr. Mui I am soo glad that people yet honor him and his training. ICTCM closed sadly and I now attend a Calif. School in acquiring licensure.
Whendid you attend ICTCM ??? rlschelin@yahoo.com
I went to ICTCM in Victoria for 1 year, 1993. I think it was the last year that Henry Lu travelled over each week to do classes. Other teachers were Peter Yik-Kong Wong, Lai Na Ho, Horming Lee, and Wally’s wife Jenny Mui… I have some treasured memories and major life experiences I still learn from that time. Thanks for the note!
After reading your article on Classical Pearls, of which I have been taking for a year and a half, I am going to stop taking them today. I have been feeling heart palpitations and a racy heart . I have been concerned as to why I was feeling this and suspected the Classical Pearls. I only hope that it will stop.
Margbet,
Thanks for letting me know that you found my article useful. Please do report back regarding your (hopeful) progress. The most responsible course of action would be to have your heart checked out by an MD as soon as practical, and then perhaps again later. Whether or not it has anything to do with the Pearls, the heart is an important organ, and strange symptoms should not be ignored.
Hi Kevin,
I have read your blog on Soaring Crane. I too, took a workshop with the Professor in 1999 in Portland. I have the book and cassette tape. I have not continued the practice due to a lack of discipline on my part. However, I have learned other “hands on” healing technique such that have proved useful to heal others and myself from injuries. For those on earth that are human beings, I believe we share this ability to move Chi (subtle life force).
I recently found a book (now out of print) call “101 Miracles of Natural Healing” by Luke Chan. My copy is from the second print run on February 1997. I bought it on Amazon as a used book. The book is a collection of 101 personal testimonials (with pictures of each person) who had gone to a center/hospital (The Huazia Zhieng Qigong Clinic & Training Center) as a last resort since to heal their terminal health conditions. The center is billed as the world’s largest medicineless hospital. The center director is Dr. Pang Ming who originated (or perhaps adapted from another group) the Chi Lel method (http://www.yuantzerenxue.org/what-is-zhineng-qigong/). According to other comments found on other blog sites, Soaring Crane is an adaptation of the zhineng-Qi gong method.
The testimonials will not provide your the science seek but it will provide examples of people who overcame terminal health conditions through positive thinking and movement. If most illnesses/cancers are really rooted/triggered by a lack of emotional well-being, then perhaps these practices can restore anyone to health? What we did to ourselves, can be undone by ourselves.
